BEWARE IF YOU SUFFER DAMAGE AS COMPANY WILL NOT RESPOND
|
Company has rejected ALL claims for damage. Company was retained to move household goods from Oregon to Illinois in October, 2013. On delivery of goods in Illinois, customer was told by driver that they could not wait until all goods were unpacked to inspect for damage and that if damage were subsequently found, merely contact company and describe problem. Goods were also delivered during late evening in absence of daylight to inspect goods. Upon inspection of goods following day, damage was found on Harley Davidson motorcycle, i.e. strap burns on gas tank and tour tank and torn leather fairing bra. Estimate shows $1455.78 in required repairs. Also, large rolling tool chest was found to have lid crushed where it appeared chest had been dropped upside down. Crushed lid made locking and unlocking of chest impossible. Replacement cost of top section of tool chest is $280.00. No damage to either item was noted by driver at time of pickup and customer would not have signed off inventory list at delivery if driver had not assured customer that damage found following subsequent inspection would be covered by company. Driver's assurances to customer were misleading and false. Driver made it clear that driver would not wait until all goods had been unpacked and inspected, but demanded immediate payment, following which driver departed.
