I've been playing World of Warcraft for approximately 5 years. I was recently hacked and after reporting it, I had my account restored and all items returned within a day. I am very pleased with the support I received.
I do have a problem with the chatting in trade chat and some general channels. The trade channel or any other channel is no place for vulgar language, racism, degradation, spam, etc. Now I am no prude, I do often curse amongst my friends, but I save if for a more private setting.
There needs to be more monitoring of these channels to stop this type of abuse. Apparently penalties are lenient, because after numerous reports of repeat offenders, nothing has changed. These people are still playing. This leads to less people reporting because they think nothing is being done. The offenders continue to offend because they know the punishment isn't harsh. I'm sure there may be quite a few people out there willing to volunteer to be a chat moderator.
