My husband purchased a Sophia Fiori ring for me on December 10, 2009 from the Venetian Store in San Juan. We were never given any store policies prior to the purchase. The store also does not display their policies (a violation of California Civil Code 1723). They have a NO REFUND policy that we did not find out until after the charge card was processed. We also did not receive an appraisal at the time that we were in the store. We returned home and took the ring to our jeweler who valued the ring at $650 less than what we paid for it. We then had it independently appraised (at the request of Venetian, per their policy) which came in at a measely $150 more than what we paid ($2,350). We have tried to get a refund going through all the proper channels (OnBoard Media, Better Business Bureau), but they refuse. The ring is not the quality of the $6,000 USD price tag on the ring, nor is it what we paid for either. We would never have bought this item if we were made aware of their policies before purchase.
