Poor ethics/Bad Business Practice and receiving stolen goods
How can IMVU do business in the US? or anywhere else for that matter, since theft is a crime in every country? One would wonder this, and many of us ponder it. They have people, customers themselves, making things for IMVU. Called Content Creators by their web site, when many of these are Content Thieves. IMVU knowingly allows this from what I can gather. The items, like Second Life homes, IMVU Rooms have been clearly RIPPED from Video games. I wonder what the gaming industries real 'CONTENT CREATORS' would think if they knew. Or what the companies that employ them would think of the money made from this work. You would think that ripping off big business was enough. However, IMVU pays no real nevermind when the thieves steal from within. Some 'CREATORS' rip off the other Creators right there in IMVU using the holes in their own system to do so. Their addressing this is a DCMA,referenced (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_Millennium_Copyright_Act#Takedown_Notice)which it assumes relinquishes it's liability. We need an Internet Erin Brocovich for that fight to be honest. But ethically and by way of integrity, IMVU is just plain guilty of receiving and reselling stolen goods. Bad business is bad business.
