Buyer Beware - I have been trying to do a modification on my home loan since 2004 through Countrywide, then finally thought I had a great chance in going through NACA in 2009, finally getting a approval of the modification email from Bank of America in December of 2009 stating that the signing of the documents will be sent to me no later than Feb. 16, 2010. Well, it has come and gone and nothing.
I called NACA and BOA with no help at all. Finally, I thought there was hope when I was contacted by Krup Law, I paid the money and sent in all paperwork and nothing. I called talked to the head bookkeeper and was told that they would put in for a refund since there had been nothing done on my file. I am still waiting after 2 months to get a call back or the check. I keep calling.
After loosing my job in January, I called BOA and the employees told me to stop making payments and the modification will go through quicker. Dummy me stopped and now notice of foreclosure, I had to borrow money from my dear old (86) mother to pay the money. The modification hasn't been completed and now I am completing all new paperwork to get the modification started AGAIN.
I thought the new OBAMA Modification would help us in need...WRONG.
Now what do we do?
