A Blessing and a Godsend
|
K&M had been recommended to us by another law firm we trusted. Before hiring K&M I tried to do our loan modification myself. I researched, talked to government recommended agencies, was assured I met the criteria, very carefully submitted our paperwork, and moments after turning everything in, was promptly declined. When I called K&M, Frank said there was the possibility of getting a loan mod, despite my previous disappointing outcome. I was worried that our income had dropped so much since obtaining our original loan that my lender would prefer to foreclose than modify. Frank said it was close, but that if anyone could get a mod, K&M would be the one to be able to do it, which gave me some hope. When my file passed on to Lori, she explained the economics of why a lender would be willing to help a homeowner stay in their home in a situation like ours, which gave me more hope. And then my file passed on to Jennifer. She sent an e-mail telling us that our paperwork had been submitted to our lender and she would be in touch every 7 to 10 days to let us know what was going on. - That never happened because Erick called us with the news that we had received a VERY HELPFUL, ENOUGH FOR US TO STAY IN OUR HOME modification before the end of the very first week after submission!! We are SOOO grateful for their help.
