My experience with Manhattan Mortgage corporation was a good onee. After being promised the moon by another so-called Loan Modification company I got a call from Manhattan Mortgage responding to my cry for help on the internet. They explained something that I, unfortunately, already new and that was I might as well kiss my money goodbye that I had paid out to the other company 6 months ago. The representative seemed to have a lot of compassion for my situation and explained what options I had. I should mention that I, at one point, I tried to deal with my lender when the other company started to not return my phone calls. HSBC could do nothing for me and even suggested a plan where my payments were actually higher! Thanks to the rep. at MMC I ended up with a 4.5% fixed rate at one half the mortgage payment that I had previously paid. I've never written one of these reviews and have to admit that I was very skeptical at first that MMC could even do anything for me and I have to say that the process took a little longer that I had hoped but they did come through for me and I'm glad I shared it here.
