PLEASE BEWARE! CON-ARTISTS!! I paid $775.00 for a 50,000 mile check up and they told me that they did the routine check and also changed my break pads and filters, etc. A few weeks later my brakes started making terrible noises when I would use them. I went back and was told that they had already replaced all of the break pads and that the pads couldn't be the problem and they had no idea what it was. After a few more weeks, the noise occurred almost every time I used the breaks. I finally went back to them and they told me that I needed 2 new rotars and that one of my break pads was completely worn so that the metal was scraping the metal. I asked "how could this be b/c I was just here a few months ago and you told me you had replaced all of the brake pads?" The owner then told me that the invoice only said that he "checked the brakes, not changed them." I told him that I came here right after paying $775.00 and was told again that the brake pads were replaced with brand new ones. He said that unless I have an invoice saying that the pads had been replaced that there's nothing he can do. I asked one of the mechanics who worked on my car if he did in fact change the pads and he said yes. Then the owner told me that it was "normal wear and tear" and that it's common for them to have to be changed so soon. I told him I had just been there a few months earlier and now the metal is hitting the metal? That doesn't make any sense. He said that he would never try to "take advantage of a hot chic like yourself" (no lie- exact words!) and that he would give me a deal and only charge me $500 to fix the problem! I then went to 3 different mechanics and they said that this guy obviously didn't change the pads or just changed the outside ones and never looked at the inside ones and completely missed the one that was completely worn down. I was told that this could have been completely avoided if they had just done their job right. Now I wonder what exactly did they do for the $775. I bet you they just washed my car and re-set my computer. BEWARE!!! The owner is a complete rip off artist and a thief!!! P.S. I had to put in the 3 stars otherwise they wouldn't publish this... it should be negative 5 stars!!
