Hind sight is always 20/20. Bottom line: I would not use this company again.
The work they perform is below average to average quality. Here is my story:
I had my existing stucco water blasted. Then cracks were repaired with a grey coat. According to the contract they were supposed to put lath over the large cracks but did not do this. I had only one large crack. After the repair stucco was placed the color coat was put on. The color coat was applied in November. After the contract was signed in early September. (I was probably put low on the list because my house is small and there are larger jobs to be done). According to El Rey instructions the color coat should be applied with the ambient temperature above 40 degrees F for the first 48 hours. The two following nights reached a low of 38 degrees and 37 degrees respectively. Also, according to El Rey instructions the finish coat should be watered 4-5 times daily for the first two days. My finish coat was not watered until approximatley 10 days after it was applied. In addition the repaired cracks (grey coat) were visible underneath the finish coat. Brian repaired this (with the Fog Kote) when the temperature warmed up in February.
There are already cracks forming in my new stucco coat, some of which are large. When signing the contract I agreed that cement stucco will crack, however, are the cracks due to Professional Coatings not following manufacture recommendations? The overnight temperature was below the recommended and the stucco was not watered until 10 days after it was applied.
Overall, I would not hire this company again due to the above described instances. I have a small house and felt like this job took a back seat to other jobs in town that made more money for Professional Coatings.
Buyer Beware.
