On Jun. of 2009 I saw Vera Travel Agency advertisement in LA issue of the Kurier Russian American Weekly.

I’ve called Vera Travel to purchase a 10-day tour to Italy. On Jun. 17, 2009 Vera Travel agent came over to my apartment and I paid full cash amount of $1220. I got a receipt from Vera Travel for this amount. My tour was supposed to start on Sep. 4, 2009. Few days before the beginning of my tour I called Vera Travel and found out that the tour was cancelled due to "low customer response". Vera Travel promised to refund full amount I paid within 10 days. However, in spite of my numerous calls and letters, to present moment Vera Travel did not return my money.
I’ve filed a Small Claims Court suit against Vera Travel.
After discussing the situation with my friends, I’ve discovered that Vera Travel owes money to more people. I’ve realized that Vera Travel is a scam preying on elderly people many of whom are afraid, or embarrassed, of have limited English to complain.
Also I’ve found recent complaints from defrauded Vera Travel customers posted on google.com
