Since I wrote the review below, this company has harassed me by posting my personal information on fake craigslist ads and other websites..as a result, I was getting many phone calls from random people for a week! This company is EVIL. They will say ANYTHING to book jobs and then take advantage of your situation to overcharge you..if you don't pay and if you complain, they threaten and harass you! This company is a scam! This company is notorious for writing fake glowing reviews (see MerchantCircle.com)...you can tell when you read the glowing reviews that they are fake.
They overcharged me and ruined some furniture b/c they ran out of blankets and the blankets they did use were in bad shape. The manager promised to refund me some money and file a damage claim...that was 4 months ago..now they changed their phone so I can't reach them (none of the phone numbers on the invoice work either). I filed a BBB complaint but BBB cannot reach the company either..the complaint was sent to 1684 Terminal Ave. but the post office returned it unopened..apparently another business resides at this address. This company claims an A+ rating with BBB on their quotes but they actually have a C. They use another company's BBB profile to book jobs...This company is a complete fraud..they must get lots of complaints to have to change their numbers so frequently and use fake address. They also are not registered with the CA PUC which they are supposed to if you're a moving co. They caused thousands of dollars of damage to my furniture because they are just inexperienced, sloppy and negligent. They laid my wood furniture directly on the asphalt without any blankets, twisting the furniture and causing huge scrapes that cannot be fixed by a wood pen, as recommended by one of the movers when I confronted him. They dropped my bedside tables on the asphalt causing big cracks on the wood. My antique dresser has very deep HOLES because they were only wrapped in plastic as they ran out of moving blankets. To add insult to injury, they charged me for the plastic!!! They also promised 10 wardrobe boxes but only had 3 and charged me for boxes that I had to use instead. They CRAMMED everything into the tiny truck. They charged me an extra 2 hours and charged me a higher price than what was quoted. Although the manager, George promised to refund some money, I have not gotten anything and cannot reach them. They are dishonest. Melissa, the sales rep, even screamed at me for complaining about "a few scratches" when people's houses were burned in the San Bruno fire!!! Wow, how's that for customer service!?!?
Here is website to check out licensed movers in CA. Make sure the addresses, phone #s match the PUC b/c this moving company used another legitimate company's profile.
