I received the big mailing from Zaken today, promising me LOTS of $$$ for little effort! Naturally, I was skeptical, having dropped a few thousand $$$ on Tom Bosley's SMC Corporation, including 2 of their websites, and lots of their merchandise, which I eventually gave to a local charity for them to resell it! SMC was very rude when they found that I wanted out, but they were very nice when I was coming in & handing them lots of $$$ - when researching Zaken on the Internet, I found that many people had experienced the same treatment! I read a RipOffReport that said that they had investigated Zaken and found it to be OK (I couldn't actually get on the RipOffReport website, but I found their report on another website later). I found a video or two from some folks who had not tried Zaken very much, if at all, who had sent everything back & asked for a refund. I think they eventually got their refund, although one fellow said it took a LONG time! I've fallen for a lot of scams, including a Company out of the State of Washington that was going to "optimize my websites." Each time I phoned them, they were "working on it," or "optimizing keywords," or some other technical jargon, but my rankings in Google never improved much. But money came out of my account every month, and this was about all that was happening. Finally, after about a year and a half, I wised up and canceled, then contacted the Attorney General's Office in the State of Washington. He eventually got the contract canceled and got me a check for $1,800 - boy, was I glad to get this. It's the ONLY time I ever got a refund. In contacting the Attorney General's Office in California about SMC, they never even sent me an acknowledgement that they received my claim! Florida was the same way, about a company selling phone cards. Arizona was the same way, too, about a company selling information about Government Grants (most of which was available for FREE on the U.S. Government's various websites, where I paid $19.95 a month for I forgot how many months that this company billed my card, when I originally thought I signed up for only $1.99 - and my credit card company backed THEM)! So, my advice, without knowing much else about Zaken, is to do some VERY THOROUGH research with Google and any other search engine you can find, contact the Better Business Bureau in the city where Zaken has their office, contact the Attorney General's office (and check their website) for California (if you can get their attention), and check any and ALL other websites you can find about Zaken, whether they claim they made a zillion $$$ or whether they claim they didn't make anything. And remember, folks, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is!
